April 9, 2008 - Hanging the Exhaust Pipes

Before I could work on the bottom cowl, I had to get the exhaust pipes in their final position.  Which meant I had to put in the exhaust pipes hangers.  The hangar kit came with the Vetterman exhaust kit which came with the Firewall Forward kit.  The hanger kit came with an instruction/drawing sheet as well as all the hardware.  Each pipe has a hanger mounted to the engine sump supporting it.  Then there is a horizontal hanger connecting the exhaust pipes to each other.  Simple, cheap and effective solution.
